#6 The Daily Reminder Conference - Inspired 2015 (Day 2)

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

Assalamualaikum and hello! I'm back soo yeah without further ado, let's get started!

1. BR WAFIQ
  • The day started with a beautiful Quran recitation about the life and history of Prophet Musa AS.
  • Many of us are not aware about what's going on out there in the world, all we think is just about ourselves and the fact that we want to live a normal life without knowing anything in the world especially in countries like Palestine, Syria and the list goes on.
  • We indeed have to have concern and take actions.
  • It's not just about lip service, it'a about doing something to help change the world.
  • Lower your expectation, stop asking for rewards or anything in return instead do it sincerely.
2. SH DR BILAL PHILIPS (EXPAND YOUR HORIZON)

  • It is only the ones who have and seek knowledge that earn Allah's blessings.
  • All Muslims are obliged to seek knowledge.
  • All human beings are born with a natural instinctive belief in God but his/her family or society neglects that, and then it's expressed in a way that is not acceptable to Allah.
  • The knowledge of Islam is indeed the fardhu ain while the worldly knowledge is the fardhu kifayah.
  • There are lots of false knowledge nowadays i.e the West has wasted a million dollars to prevent death and to find ways to save themselves for the day of Qiyamah. We as Muslims don't spend time and money to learn such knowledge.
  • Hence, the knowledge about us, homo sapiens are actually from the gene of monkey is TOTALLY FALSE. Allah has created us as humans and that is that.
  •  Next, those astronauts and rockets that were being sent by the NASA for experimenting lives in Mars is a true knowledge, but totally useless.
  • It is because they indeed spent billions of dollars to send those rockets to Mars but still, some of their citizens, more than almost 4 million Americans are homeless, living under the bridge and so on.
  • The best of people is those who are most beneficial to the world with useful knowledge.
  • There are appropriate and inappropriate knowledge. For example, when this Syeikh Bilal asked some male medical students what are they specializing in and they replied they are specializing in gynecological (sakit puan) and  the females, they replied that they are specializing in prostate cancer. It's not a wrong thing to do, but it's just, inappropriate.
  • There are two types of student; the genuine and the fake ones. Highlighting the fake ones here, they only focus to be a student, not a good person. Their life goals basically are getting flying colors results and put in profession that earn the most money and this my friend, is unacceptable because they only dream about the dunya without even thinking about the benefits they can get in the Hereafter.
  • Majority Muslims focus on this way ^ which is a common trait.
  • How can we be different if we keep on cheating just to get good results in your exam with no effort in ourselves.
  • Constantly ask yourself, "do you want to change the Muslim society? Do you want to be in the true Muslim society?"
  • We should be taught about morality from the very beginning of our lives until the end by our parents, our teachers, schools and surroundings.
  • After you graduated, prepare and have commitment in yourselves to change the world. Stick to that mission and keep thinking outside of the box.
3. EYES THAT MATTER (USTADH MAJED MAHMOOD )

  • For something that Allah's name in it, in shaa Allah there is a barakah.
  • As a good Muslim, you can't just jump into a conclusion about something because there is always an appreciation in that something.
  • Ignore other people's judgement as long as it doesn't conflicts with Allah's forsaken.
  • By respecting one's opinion, the community can be unite again.
  • What is backbiting? It is a like dessert for the community, which when people are saying something behind other people's back that they don't like.
  • When you want to make a change within yourselves, think about Allah SWT over your friends who might tease you or make fun of you.
  • Whoever defends the honor of the brothers, they'll have the greatest reward in their life and their neck will be unleashed from the Hellfire Jahannam.
  • When you talk something about someone, whether it is a fact or not, it will never change anything 'cause you're still doing the wrong thing, you're still talking bad behind people's back.
  • People might not like you anymore for your changes but we should only care for Allah's judgement.
  • Just say "I don't know." when you have no answers to whatever question especially in the religion matters. Well, at least it's better than creating our own answers which we don't even know it's even sahih or not.
  • People will judge you severely, yes people judge. Everyone does but just remember, always remember! Allah SWT is the best of judging His slaves.
  • People online are harsh, no offence but do we know or not know that these kind of people are actually afraid and scared of the real world, so the things that they said did not matter.
  • You'll never be pleased by other people because it is indeed impossible to so don't overlook them instead seek the pleasure of The Almighty Allah SWT.
  • When we're doing good deeds and people still judge, just ignore them and be smart and wise on handling them.
  • Just tell people what is good and what is bad for them with wise, it is because our life is indeed based on naseehah that we've given to others and the other hand.
  • Man and woman with modesty will be pleased by Allah SWT.
  • Don't judge people. The moment you start judging people, you start to verbalize your own corruption.
  • How can we help to focus on only Allah's judgement? By realizing the consequences of the life in Dunya and the Hereafter.
  • Don't let people's judgement let you down to move forward, to earn success in your life.
3. BR WAEL IBRAHIM (STORIES OF CHANGE)

  • Allah SWT will not send angels for you to change instead you need to have the desire within yourselves.
  • To remain on the strength past after we change is indeed difficult.
  • Do something with passion and happiness as long as it benefits the ummah, not just merely to make yourselves happy, that is selfish.
  • Don't pretend something you like doing is your true passion, your true happiness.
  • Other big names out there like celebrities or so they ended up being depressed and some of them even committed suicide. In example, Amy Winehouse, Leslie Chung, Robin Williams and the list goes on.
  • Look here, you don't have to be a world-known superstar to be happy, if that is what you want now, to be a superstar or an artist, then change it. Ask yourselves about the ummah nowadays, about our religion nowadays. There is no good in being a well-known celebrity when you yourselves forgot about Islam and Allah SWT.
  • How to focus in our daily prayers Salah: Imagine Kaabah is in front of you, imagine Jannah is on your right, Hellfire is on your left, and the angel of death is waiting behind you.
  • To stay on the right path is tough and hard, but the rewards are exceptionally great.
  • There is no revive in this ummah without the manner of istiqamah.
  • Some ways to steadfast and istiqamah: no 1, dua. no 2, have and choose good companions and no 3, engage in dakwah as it can help you improvise your own self as well rather than just improving other people.
  • Knowledge without action is madness. Action without knowledge is useless.
4. MUFTI MENK (SHOOT FOR THE MOON)

  • There is no such thing as New Year's Resolution. It should be an everyday's resolutions to improve yourself days after days not years after years.
  • What's the point of dreaming and wishing if you keep sleeping and complaining all day long without taking any actions.
  • Nowadays in this superb social media era, people are not living the real life.
  • If you really want Jannah, the first thing first is to make sure you fulfill your 5 daily prayes.
  • As a true believer, our only ultimate goal is Jannah.
  • If you have an aspiration, then you will have to get up and do something about it.
  • Imagine this: you are buying a house with monthly loan and you are obliged to pay the house loan every month. And then there goes one month when you couldn't pay cause maybe you don't have enough money, and you probably will get kicked out of the house. Well, the same goes to our daily prayers. You miss one prayer, the probability of not entering Jannah is big.
  • Stop complaining about small and minor things instead be grateful and enjoy those small things. Don't be a narrow-minded and a worldly-minded person.
  • If your aim is truly Jannah, your boss is Allah SWT. You musn't be afraid of your 'other' boss.
  • Generation nowadays, they want to be rich and healthy in 5 minutes, in a blink of an eye without any effort. Don't be that kind of people. Whatever it is, effort is important. Fainna ma'al 'usri yusra. Surely with hardship will come ease.
  • There is time to play, we humans can't study all time and also can't play all the time. Everything has a limit. In example, our hand phones. Hand phones are literally the biggest distraction these days.
  • Hand phones or gadgets are nikmah from Allah SWT but we must use it wisely and with discipline. Without constant discipline, it's not impossible we can drown ourselves in the ocean of the dunya.
  • A true believer is he who learn so many lessons from their embarrassing moments.  For example when something embarrassing happened in their congregation prayers, then that is enough as a lesson to be learned.
  • Today's generations' aspiration is getting the latest smartphones and gadgets, following the new clothing trend and the list goes on. Do we even realize how shallow-minded these people are? So, please, my bros and sisters, change yourself and change this kind of mentality.
  • People with weak minds are those who do not do things that lead to Allah SWT and all they care is this worldly life.
  • Think about this question: "What will I bring with me on the day I'm gone from this world?"
  • Don't let your sins bring you down but try to look at your sins as your lessons in your daily life.
  • When you aim high, do not be impatient.
  • You will have to struggle, put effort on it. Like I said, things will not come in a blink of an eye, you must work for it.
  • Some of us lose our focuses but shaytans, he never loses focus yet they are very loyal to their duty.
  • You will never be fooled by people around the world if only you understand the word of Allah SWT that is the Holy Quran.
  • It is not wrong to have desire of owning such petty items, but it becomes wrong when you run after it and chase it that you missed your aspirations.
  • If you have Allah SWT, that is enough even though you don't have those materialistic possessions in this world.

5. SH DR ISAM RAJAB (THE 'U' IN UMMAH)

  • Three principles in this topic: No 1, Know who you are and your capabilities. No 2, Be able to represent who you are, the message and the mission you carry and no 3, work for the ummah, not just for ourselves.
  • Most of the problems nowadays are Muslims know the greatness of Islam but they themselves are not reflecting the greatness of Islam and that my friend has to change.
  • We always complain about the government, politics, racism and all but just for once, let's go back and point to ourselves whether we ourselves are showing the greatness of Islam to the world or not.
  • You want to know your role? Then this is what you have to do. PRACTICE ISLAM.
  • Do reflect Islam anywhere, everywhere, anytime.
  • Represent the beauty of Islam not just by words, but through actions as well.
  • Allah SWT wants us to worry and carry responsibilities about the ummah as we are one, we are all slaves to the Al-Mighty Allah Taala.
  • You don't need to divide your wealth to the poor ones to your brothers like the Anyibas used to do but instead, just do your best to represent Islam, use your capabilities.
  • Prophet Muhammad PBUH carried the worries about his beloved ummah and that is why he always asked Allah SWT 'Ummati.. Ummati.. Ummati.." in his every single prayers, SubhanAllah.
  • Before we complain and pointing others, let's go back and check ourselves.
  • Ask yourself this question constantly: "Are you really working for the ummah or really just for your own self?" and "Are you doing something for the credits and compliments or are you really sincere?"
  • Sincerity is an immensely crucial aspect in changing and improving the ummah.
  • We can do a lot to the ummah, no matter we are wealthy or poor, young or old, male or female, you just have to be sincere.
  • If you can't help the ummah in a big part i.e you can't leave your house or any appropriate problems, at least, practice Islam, make du'a.
  • Enjoy good, forbid evil.
  • These 3 principles are simple things to find the 'U' in the ummah.
6. PANEL DISCUSSIONS

  •  From the beginning. don't say you're not able to istiqamah because if you said so, it will be so.
  • When someone backbit you, say Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar and such as it is a great moment and you are given free rewards.
  • Homosexuality should not be taken lightly especially in our situation nowadays. So one of the way to handle people with homosexuality is to handle it with wisdom.
  • People who have homosexuality problems are actually dealing with a serious psychological problems. So if you have friends or family or any colleague dealing with this problem, ask them to go and see psychologists, psychiatrists or so.
  • Avoid the bad Jin by reading Quran, as Rasulullah SAW used to do to protect HIS grandchildren Hasan and Husin.
  • The strongest way to get better in prayers salah is to have and choose good companionship.
  • You have to be open-minded, you can't just block people.
  • Leave yourself open for improvement, give yourself some times to make decisions and don't do too much.
  • When people leave the guidance, they'll be divided, like our time now, full of fitnahs. Division, anyway, happens when one follow their own desire and leave Allah's guidance away from the religion.
  • Feeling down in general is common, don't exaggerate that feeling but try to overcome it.
  • Someone who has good relationship with Allah SWT will never give up on their lives and will never be depressed.
  • So the first step of overcoming depression is to turn back to Allah, have good relationship with Him because He would never let His slaves down and He indeed always support His slaves.
  • If you feel depressed, DON'T SLEEP! Instead, get on the prayer mat and ask Allah, complain to Allah and express your whole feelings to Allah The Almighty.
  • Say Alhamdulillah whenever you realize that Allah SWT is testing you.
  • There'll be suffering and struggling, it's a promise from Allah SWT and eventually they will come to an end if only we have efforts.
  • The question goes like this: "If Islam is the truth, then why are Muslims in parts of the world suffering? Because most of themselves do not apply Islam in their lives.
  • We shouldn't use the terms if we don't know how to define it in detail so we have to be very careful in our speech.
  • Clapping is not a sunnah and usually we clap because it's a cultural imitation, an influence. Men are not allowed to clap for women in any kind of events especially religious events.
  • There are many forms of Jihad - speaking, through actions and the list goes on.
7. SH MUIZ BUKHARY (DIARY OF AN OPTIMIST)

  • Prophet Muhammad SAW was the greatest optimist that has ever walked on earth.
  • Three important steps to live a happy life;
     1. Try to look for something positive in every situation in every angle, don't be narrow-minded.
2 . Render gratitude to Allah SWT.
     3. Cultivate and live in a positive environment.
  • The biggest mistake is believing that negativity is a reality of life.
  • You learn through your mistakes and experiences because that is what life is all about.
  • The best teacher for yourselves are your mistakes.
  • Every dark cloud has a silver lining.
  • Even the Prophet Muhammad PBUH was tested with the citizens of Mecca throwing stones at him when he got back to Mecca but at last, he managed to conquer Mecca because of his optimistic nature in himself.
  • In order to success, follow the sunnah of the prophet Muhammad PBUH.
  • We keep looking at the negative side and that makes us mess up our life.
  • Allah's punishment is painful and severe for those who are not grateful for their nikmah in this worldly life.
  • Give some space to yourself to reflect and ponder.
  • Your mind is so occupied so overcome it by rendering constant gratitude to Allah SWT.
  • Enjoy the little and small things in life.
  • We won a lot of things like an argument or so but in the end we actually have lost 'the race of life.'
  • Build our own positive environment.
  • An optimistic will seize opportunities in difficulties.
  • It is not upon us to judge, indeed He us the Best Judge of all.
  • Strive yourself to seek the pleasure of Allah rather than judging other people.
8. SH HUSSAIN YEE (TRICK OF SHAYTAN)

  • The history of shaytan is known to all mankind as it started with our great great grandparents, Adam and Eve.
  • Shaytans are used to be one of the angels.
  • Let Allah SWT make the final judgement.
  • We are indeed sinners, every child of Adam sin but the best is the ones who keep repenting.
  • Bathroom - the house of shaytans.
  • If only you say Bismillah, shaytans can't take it anymore.
  • The metaphor of feeding shaytans means when you're doing something without the remembrance of Allah SWT i.e eating without saying Bismillah or sleeping without saying Bismillah and the list goes on.
  • Shaytan's mission is to make sure we all have a bad ending in everything no matter how good we are in the beginning.
  • How to have a good ending? Keep any places or things you used clean like toilet, keep it dry, yea?
  • When you do something bad, you are like promoting the products of shaytans instead of reflecting the product of Allah SWT.
  • If you want to save yourself from shaytan's tricks, follow the sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW, and it is not difficult at all if we have our own aspirations.
  • Whoever choose not to follow Rasulullah SAW's sunnahs, then they have no interest if entering Jannah.
  • Whoever has the intention of meeting Allah SWT, they must engage themselves with righteous and good deeds.
  • How can you commit syirik when you worship Allah SWT? By having your own agenda, showing off, riya' and so on.
9. SH SAJID UMAR (CHAIN REACTION)

Sh Sajid Umar in a baju melayu :))

  • People make ruling and conclusions based on only one side of the story.
  • The pasts are always what we should learn and take lessons from.
  • When we're sinning, know that we are the people of failure and its sins that make us learn and earn experiences to be a better person.
  • Continuing sins and not wanting to repent will bring us into depression as Allah said that those who are astray from Allah, Allah will be giving them a depressed and narrow life.
  • As on the day of Qiyamah, Allah will raise these people blind and they ask Allah why? Allah will reply, the same goes when Allah gives them nikmah in dunya, they were indeed, 'blind'.
  • Whoever remember and believe in Allah and do good deeds, Allah will reward them with a happy and flourish life.
  • The light of Allah SWT doesn't come to a sinner.
  • We should take actions that will please Allah SWT, ignore what other people say about you.
  • When a sin, a black dot appears on your heart and it continues to grow with you sinning until the dots are connected and become big.
  • A hard rock is better than a hard heart.
  • Don't be a victim to time by being attached to the worldly life and don't become a servant by our own desires.
  • People who are still breathing, Allah will forgive their sins as long as they repent and as long as it doesn't come to an end point so we should not lose hope in the mercy of Allah SWT.
  • It is a beauty in Islam - having a God who is the Most Forgiving.
  • Try your very best to steadfast upon Allah's command (istiqamah) but know that it's not going to happen in  a click of a finger.
  • Carry on pursuing and have istiqamah until the good deeds finally become your daily habit, just HAVE HOPE AND PUT YOUR TRUST IN ALLAH SWT.

So my beloved brothers and sisters, that is all I can share with you guys and thank you for reading, May Allah SWT bless you all in life and the Hereafter. Well, I started to miss them already and I really hope I will get the chance to go in this kind of conference again one day In Shaa Allah.

#5 The Daily Reminder Conference - Inspired 2015 (Day 1)

  بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone! How's everyone doing? I hope you guys are in the best of health in shaa Allah. Sooo, I have actually been to this islamic conference held at Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) called The Daily Reminder Conference -Inspired 2015 and I thought of sharing the things and the naseehah I've learned today with you guys, well, as one says, sharing is caring right?

Frankly speaking, I've never been to this kind of conference before so this is my very first time and I was really excited (and quite nervous as well). This conference is actually being held for two days (August 29 & 30) so for this one here I'm gonna update about the first day.Without beating around the bushes, let's get started!

The conference started with a video shown about 'Are We Awake?' by the MC of the day and Allahu, it was just so deep and moving. Some of the speakers of the day were Mufti Menk, Sh Muiz Bukhary, Br Majed Mahmood and the list goes on.

1. BR WAFIQ

  • It started with a beautiful, soothing quran recitation about Maryam, which tells us about the challenges she faced throughout her life.
  • He, The Almighty, could've made her life easier as she was one of the most noble person at that time but instead He told Maryam that she has to put in work.
  • And eventhough people look at her in such looks, disgust, the only thing we should care is Allah, Allah matters most.
  • Have trust in Allah, that is how you're going to face your challenges and tests.
2. MUFTI MENK (AGAINST ALL ODDS)

  • Allah has created you with such kindness, but depended on other human beings i.e your parents because it's a continuity, it's a test for all of us.
  • Due to that, continue life with KINDNESS, respect your parents even if they're non-muslim or they ask you to do something against Allah's orders. Give respect, show kindness.
  • When culture conflicts with religion, what comes first? Of course, religion. Honestly, culture makes life even more difficult and it's not what Allah asked us to do and in fact, some of our cultures are against the syariah, so think first before you do anything.
  • Start asking questions to ourselves i.e "What have I done wrong that Allah put me in this situation?" or "Am I grateful enough to Allah SWT The Almighty?" because it makes us reflect or we say, muhasabah.
  • Allah said, don't let ourselves drown in this world, as if this world is like a big ocean and we, His creatures are like ships, if too much water comes in, we will sink. (#deep)
  • Take your time in sujood, it is the closest way to reach Allah SWT.
  • Things do not go according to our plan, it's a challenge and Allah SWT has a better plan for us.
  • A true believer will be grateful and say Alhamdulillah when facing some tests and difficulties because the best way to face difficulties is to be grateful and to look at those who are in a worse condition than yours i.e when we don't have shoes, look at those who don't have foot. (#deep)
  • Allah gives us blessings in a midst of difficulties and all our difficulties will surely come to an end if only we are sabr and have courage.
  • Death is not something you look up to and feel depressed.
  • You don't need to show every detail of your life to the whole world.
  • Wealthy? It comes with attitude and gratitude.
  • Repeat your repentance not because you doubt His power but you have and you put trust in Allah.
  • When you committed a sin over and over again, then you repent again and again, Allah will still wipe out all the sins of your past, so don't lose hope in Allah.
  • Don't be proud of the sins you committed yet be ashamed of it.
  • Seek help with two things; Sabr and Salah, the gift of being a mukmin.
  • Money is now a religion. Why? Because people worship money, they chase money. But it doesn't mean you can't earn money, do earn some money and use it to remember Allah like donate them or buy something useful.
3.BR MAJED MAHMOOD (ISLAM STATE OF MIND)

  • Everything in life is a test.
  • Three things in being gratitude, syukur; feel the nikmah within your heart, verbally stated and put the nikmah into actions.
  • You actually begin raising your own family by choosing the right spouse.
  • If you're not grateful to your parents, then you're not grateful to Allah.
  • Whoever has done something good for you, return the favor with kindness.
  • Constantly ask this question to ourselves, "Are we grateful enough to Allah?"
  • Gratitude will gradually teaches us patience.
  • Feel free to sujood to Allah after something great happens; 1. you don't need wudhu, 2. not necessarily pointing to the Kaabah and no 3. don't have to put on hijab (if you're at home or at some places with no ajnabi) and just express your gratitude to The Almighty.
  • Patience will not come of you keep complaining but instead, complain to Allah, complain to Allah like a child, He will listen to you, always and forever will.
  • When you keep on complaining and complaining, psychologically it'll not change a single thing in your life unless you complain to Allah from the bottom of your heart.
  • Rasulullah SAW teaches us  every difficulties and hardships that we're facing is good for us, as long as we believe and put trust in Allah.
  • Don't say "Why me, why me?" when facing difficulties because you're not the only one that go through all this. Out there, around the globe, someone is being tested even worse than you.
  • So, what should you do? Be grateful anyway. Say Alhamdulillah anyway.
3. SH MUIZ BUKHARY (ASPIRE TO INSPIRE)

  • We are defining a legacy by our daily basis as it is about leaving something behind.
  • Be legacy-minded for example when you use the toilet, and clean it for those who are going to use it after, the same goes with the people before you, that is a legacy, leaving something behind only in this case, leaving something worth remembering behind.
  • You are never ever will be known for your materialistic possessions, your Prada beg or your Dolce & Gabbana dress, or your Jimmy Choo, you will be known for your legacy.
  • Every single choice matters so strive for excellence in everything as Allah SWT loves those who keep striving for excellence.
  • Our tests and challenges are nothing compared to the Anbiyas' as they were the ones who faced the most and hardest challenges of all.
  • Every single day is indeed a race, it's a 'on your marks, get set, go!' (do ponder)
  • Rasulullah SAW didn't own a twitter, facebook or an instagram account, but he has more than 1 billion followers around the world and that my friend, is a legacy he has left behind.
  • Leave a legacy, start doing something good that people will remember even after you're gone.
4. SH SAJID UMAR (THE MISSING PIECE)

  • Tawakkal - placing one's trust only and only in Allah.
  • Indeed Allah is enough for you, Allah is the best place to put our trust on.
  • If we keep on saying "If only this.. if only that..", we are opening the doors to the syaitan and we are letting them whispering to our ears so put your trust in Allah, tawakkal.
  • ALLAH LOVES THOSE WHO RELY ON ALLAH.
  • Some of those who will enter Jannah on the Judgement Day is the one who put their trust in Allah SWT in such amazing ways.
  • For example, do not merely seek people for help but seek help from Allah. Futher more, do not trust those zodiacs as teenagers nowadays are influenced by it and they believe it though.
  • So my friend, keep your trust in Allah, have tawakkal, take the means, do your very best and then put your trust in Allah, again.
  • Only with Allah's wills, Allah's permissions, things will happen.
5. SH HUSSAIN YEE ( UNITED NATION )
  • A leader must be a believer of Allah.
  • The best among us is not based on colors, race or wealth, but those who have taqwa within themselves and display it with actions.
  • It is wrong to say that Allah SWT is only Muslims' God but say, Allahu Rabbul Alamin, Allah is the God of all.
  • We are currently following a lot of things not based on the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad PBUH and that is why we can't be united, that is why we are so lost days after days.
  • For some times, forget our opinions, our thoughts just for a while and go back to Allah SWT or the Prophet SAW, just to be sure whatever you're doing is good or bad.
  • Do something because of Allah as the kalimah goes Lailahaillallah, not because of money, power or even status.
  • The unbeliever out there, they compliment and support each other and that is why they're strong and if we, the ummah compliment, support and care about each other, only then we'll be strong again.
  • Follow our Prophet Muhammad SAW's ways or sunnahs to be in the right path, to be in the right group of people.
6. PANEL DISCUSSIONS
  • The only way to overcome depression is to turn to Allah SWT The Almighty.
  • There are two main points why people are depressed; no 1. their sense is lost of control and no 2. they look everything around them badly, negatively.
  • Ways to overcome no 1. fast on Monday or Thursday because fasting gives back control in your life, no 2. be grateful, sujd syukur, just drop off the floor and it continues with no 3. upon your sujd, reflect. because for sure something good must have happened in your life.
  • Just because Allah hasn't give you any tests or hardships doesn't mean He doesn't love you but instead, say Alhamdulillah as everything in life is a test.
  • Signs of the acceptance of taubah are no 1. it starts with the feeling within ourselves and our hearts, no 2. you decide that this particular sins will be discontinue and no 3. you feel the beauty of ikhlas and you have good thoughts about Allah SWT.
  • Allah SWT in fact tells us to make taubah again and again, and keep repenting even if we fall into doing that sin again.
  • Some may have doubts in Allah  but surely, THERE IS NO DOUBT IN ALLAH. It's just the Syaitan whispering to your ears.
  • Remove the doubts in Allah by increasing your knowledge about Allah, going to places where you can find Allah, choosing friends who have firm faith in Allah and lastly believing that believing in God is natural, it's a natural way.
  • Every child is born with a natural belief in God and society changes that.
  • Look at Allah's creations and ponder, ponder, ponder.
  • Ilmu is a part of amalan. Learn and practice, if you can't practice, that means there is a lacking in the way you learned.
  • One may only gain that faith if one has the effort.
  • The best person is the ones who learn the Quran, practice it and teach it to others.
7. SH A. W. SALEEM (PURSUIT OF THE HEREAFTER)

  • Sometimes people get carried away with their happiness.
  • Look at the mirror and say Alhamdulillah, all praise to Allah, don't be proud of your beauty as everything nice and good comes from Allah SWT.
  • Your deen will grow stronger and stronger with constant gratitude.
  • Help people with your power for the sake of Allah, not because wanting anything in return, do it Lillahitaala.
  • Don't forget your portion as His slave that you are using the dunya to the Hereafter so use the dunya wisely to get ease in the Akhirah.
  • If you want Allah to be kind to you, then you have to be kind and show kindness to other people.
  • It's the solution of our problems, show kindness to others.
  • Allah said ' Do not follow corruption within the land.' and money as well as wealthy often comes with corruption and that is why when we have something use it to the right way, use it to remember Allah SWT.
  • Our life is just a few moments that will eventually come to an end.
  • When we get something, we often think it's "we.. we.. we.." but in the end you'll forget that everything comes from Allah SWT and everything is a test.\
  • People get tested with two ways; blessings and difficulties.
  • Make a change now, you, yes, you. NOW. Not tomorrow, not later, now.
  • If you are not able to count Allah's blessings, then you must be doing countless kindness to others.
8. SH OMAR EL BANNA (ALL IT TAKES)
  • Muslims' blood is currenly the cheapest blood on earth in several countries like Syria, Palestine, Iran and the list goes on.
  • We are very easy when it comes to talks and claims, very easy to criticize but no actions in our life.
  • Islam doesn't know negativity or giving up, we have to dream and be ambitious about the Akhirah.
  • No one is really worried when it comes to Allah and the Hereafter unlike when we're about to take an exam the next day, we work immensely hard the day before.
  • People with iman, with deen, they don't know the true meaning of giving up or negativity.
  • Everyone is waiting for another person to start. Then, where is your part? When is your part of your dreams to change the world? Prophet SAW didn't want merely popularity, to people knowing his name but he just wants people to come to him and accept Islam.
  • Ask yourself, "What have I done for Islam? What did I do other than just complaining and bringing others down?"
  • Don't look at the power in ourselves, we are weak, we are just slaves but instead look at and seek the power of Allah SWT.
  • YOU WANT ALL MUSLIMS TO CHANGE? THEN YOU, YOU, YOURSELF MUST CHANGE FIRST.
  • The deen should be in your flesh and blood.
  • Sit down and reflect, look  at your talent and your ablilities and start thinking what can you do to help the ummah and the world because maybe something than you can do, even the little things can make a few changes and can effect the ummah to be much better.
  • Don't let criticisms of other people let you down because remember, Allah matters most.
  • Nowadays, some use media social as their way to do dakwah and when you do dakwah, some people may tease you or fool you but do it anyways, do it for the sake of Allah. Lillahitaala.
Soooooo I guess that's it for now then, frankly speaking I am truly grateful to be a part of this conference as some people might not have the chance for this kind of program.
