#9 Twins of Faith Conference 2015: The Awakening (Day 1)

                                                      بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

Salam Alaykum and hello everybody! For those who are reading this, I pray that Allah SWT will bless you and give you the best of health, Allahumma Aamiin :) So, last Saturday and Sunday my family and I went to this conference at Putrajaya International Islamic Centre and please know how very grateful I am to be a part of this conference.

Without further ado, let's get started!

1. PROPHETIC MISSION (TAWFIQUE CHOWDURY)

·      The best awakening that we can have is our association and connection with Allah SWT.
·      Whoever works for his akhirah, Allah is enough for him in the Dunya.
·      How to be wealthy? -- Put your trust fully on Allah SWT.
·      How to get rich? -- Do good deeds and remember Allah’s promises.
·      The best place to connect with Allah SWT and revive our iman and ourselves is the masjid itself.
·      1st, we must remember how great Allah SWT is and 2nd, we must remember that Allah SWT has good desires for us.
·      A lot of scientists especially those who are in the aerospace field are started to believe in Allah SWT because they’ve finally realized no one can ever create the universe that is so big, so perfectly created as how it is now.
·      Whoever believes in Allah SWT, have imaan and do prayers – he will enter Jannah.
·      Whoever says ‘Allah SWT is mine, Allah SWT is my Lord.’ – then Jannah becomes obligatory to them.
·      These are some of the easiest ways to earn a place in Jannah and which how much Allah SWT loves us and wants us to be with Him in Jannah:-
-       Whoever prays especially Fajr & Asr.
-       Whoever goes to the masjid to pray Fajr & Asr.
-       Whoever prays days and nights.
-       Whoever takes a path of knowledge.
-       Whoever protects their private parts.
-       Whoever performs the Umrah and the Hajj.
-       Whoever has two girls/daughters and raise them with Islam and imaan.
-       Whoever visits a sick person with the purpose of Allah SWT.
-       Whoever says the syahadah as his last word.
· This is why we should always remember that Allah SWT has good thoughts about us and He never leaves us nor never forgets us, instead He is always there and always waiting for us to turn back to Him, MashaAllah J

2. GET REAL (ABDURRAHMAN MURAD)

·   Nothing happens in a world today expect Allah has ordained it.
·  See how we deal with such calamities nowadays.
· Those who always think negative are the destroyer of the ummah, the worst of the ummah.
· Negativity is a very, very catchy disease.
·  Never let shaytan get through you and your thoughts.
· No matter how bad life may seem, always look at the good things in life that has been given for us by The Almighty Allah SWT.
· The biggest fitnah that is Dajjal is indeed very near and very close to us human beings.
· We will witness fitnah everywhere we go and in everything that we do.
·  A lot of people nowadays googled their doubts about Islam and that is one of the reasons why the wrong teachings are being spread out throughout the entire world.
· If you can’t find or not sure about the right jamaah, just stick with what you think best.
· How do we deal with today’s world’s calamities?
-       Do not be too emotional; instead turn to Allah SWT in whatever way possible.
-       Make dua and be patient, it is indeed our best weapon.
-       Dua is a link between us and Allah SWT.

3. ACCEPTING & ADAPTING (ALAA ELSAYED)

·  No womb has ever carried a soul as holy as Prophet Muhammad SAW.
· Doesn’t matter of you don’t please other people, what matters is to please Allah SWT.
· We will all be resurrected and we will all be asked by Allah SWT one day – the question is, are we ready to meet our Maker?
· The way we came to this life is the same as they we die -- people will cry for us, they will pray for us, we will be covered up.
· Everything in life will be recorded and will be uploaded and shown at the Day of Judgement.
· Your eyes are the camera lens, your mouth will be either the microphone or the audio and your heart is the hard drive.
· If we want to change something, we must first change ourselves!
· Allah doesn’t change, you change!

4. SPECIAL APPEARANCE: SH ABDUL MUHSIN, IMAM OF MASJID AL-HARAM

· Even if we do a good thing as small as an atom or a seed, we’ll surely find it on our mizan scale on the Day of Judgement.
· ‘Alhamdulillah’ is the word of those who’ll fill the Paradise and it will also be their first word as they set foot in Jannah.
· SubhanAllah wabihamdih – when you say it with sincerity, a plant will grow on Paradise for you; just imagine how amazing that is.
· When you pray the sunnah prayer; the qabliah and the ba’diah prayer before or after the compulsory prayers by the amount of 12 rakaat --  a house in Jannah will grow for you.
· You can enter and earn a place in Jannah without any physical movement – that is by loving someone genuinely with your heat and for the sake of Allah SWT and they’ll be gathered together with you in Jannah.
· Do not look down at any good deeds that we do as they are insignificant, all of those are accounted by Allah SWT.
· Even for women for when you do things that people might actually think is insignificant, it will also be accounted by Allah SWT and it may earn you the highest place in Jannah.
· You cannot be thankful to Allah SWT if you’re not thankful to other people or other humankind.

5. BARAKAH WEALTH (DR ZAHARUDIN)

· There will come a time when people no longer care about the sources of their incomes.
· One dirham of riba’ is equivalent to 36 times as committing zina.
· When a person is committing sins, it’ll make him feel a little guilty and that’s what makes them want to repent.
· The first level, the basic level of a believer is Muslim à Mukmin; a believer who does what Allah SWT asked us to do à Muhsinin; the best level of a believer.
· Malaysian nowadays especially in order with our economy condition today, mostly people will take quick rich skim (skim cepat kaya) which is obviously haraam from the perspective of Islam – and with that money you feed your children, your family. So where are the blessings?
· With blessings and barakah from Allah SWT, our wealth and our property will make us feel satisfied which gives us so much satisfaction.
· Whoever gives charity, zakah, sadaqah --  Allah SWT will increase our nikmah in life.
· Allah SWT says in the Quran that ‘It is not the eyes that are blind, but it is the heart!’
· Signs to know that our heart is still alive – is when we commit any sins, we will feel guilty and burdensome and we don’t want others to know about the sins we committed.
· Some people know about good deeds and its benefits, but still they’re afraid to act upon them for some reasons however.
· When you’re performing any good deeds, you have to feel like you’re facing Allah SWT and that Allah SWT is looking at you – to increase our imaan and sincerity.
· By the meaning of planting our own plants in Jannah by reciting the zikr, we are actually ‘booking’ some of the places in Jannah – but still and however, we must feel sincere and continuously do good deeds.

6. THE EXHANGE RATE (YAHYA IBRAHIM)

·  Never, ever forget your Lord.
· First lesson in life: the ones who humble themselves, Allah SWT will elevate them on the Day of Judgement.
· Second lesson in life: whatever you put forward, it’s only for yourselves. The benefit does not reach in Allah, the only Allah SWT wishes to see is consciousness in our heart.
· Third lesson in life: how you treat others, is how Allah SWT will treat you. If you treat others with anger and violence, Allah will do the same to you by people that are sent by Allah SWT.
· Fourth lesson in life: Everything between you and Allah SWT is love. The way you fear Allah SWT, that is love.

7. SNOOZE (BILAL ASSAD)

· Don’t busy yourselves with something that doesn’t concern you.
· For example like; we keep wondering and thinking about when the world is going to end and so on but we never really question ourselves about what have we prepare for it.
· We surely can’t guarantee anything in life.
· The day, the moment we die, that is the end of the world for us.
· In the west world, psychologists tell us procrastinate is when we:
-       Fear failure in the future.
-       Use justifications and unreasonable excuses for important things.
-       Earn self-justifications that are actually really false.
--     Very argumentative
-    Shaytan will come to them and make them create their own ‘religion.’
·         When you do the right decision and you do it rightfully, in shaa Allah you’ll leave the bad habits in your life,
·         Some people will still use excuses on the Day of Judgement – that is because no other than shaytan’s tricks.
·         Don’t blame shaytan, blame yourselves – as shaytans still fear Allah SWT, do we still?
·         Sometimes people are so used to procrastinate that they’ve overcomed their guilt towards the sins they commit.
·         A mukmin are those who think they’re not mukmin enough and the non-mukmin are those who think they’re a mukmin and have done enough.
·         The young person who constantly return to Allah SWT, is the beloved of Allah SWT – Look here, He’s not saying those who never sins but those who sins and constantly repent and repent!
·         It developed them habits as they’ve been procrastinated for such a long time, all the time.
·         Procrastination can be a cause of not just anxiety and depression, but also boredom.
·         What do we have to do then? Keep changing as what Rasulullah SAW taught us.
·         Make your Islam colourful within the Sunnah =)
·         For example: change the environment around you when you do things like reciting the Quran.
·         Never be a Muslim on a condition of other things and other people.
·         It’s you that will be asked and answer on the Day of Judgement, not anyone else, YOU!
·         Some important reminders:
-       Always remember that death is near.
-       Listen and remember about the hereafter more often to make us awake.
-       Entertain your day with zikr.
-       Entertain yourselves – Islam doesn’t forbid us to be entertained but we must know the limits of syari’a for the benefits if ourselves.

That's all for now, Day 2 will continue soon! Jazakumullahu Khyran for reading my brothers and sisters, Assalamualaikum, bbye =)
